We offer structured internship and fellowship placements for law students seeking hands-on experience in animal and environmental law research, advocacy, and policy development.

We proudly partner with PBSC to supervise student volunteers working on animal and environmental law projects that benefit public interest organizations and community members.

This year, we are collaborating with Humane Canada to oversee law students' contributions to the National Centre for the Prosecution of Animal Cruelty Case Law Database (University of Ottawa & University of Toronto)
University of Toronto Animal Law Practicum
Launched in 2024, Canada’s first Animal Law Practicum is offered as an optional credited component of the Animals and the Law course taught by Professor Angela Fernandez at Jackman Law's Animal Law Program. The Practicum bridges theory and practice, allowing students to contribute to real-world legal challenges in animal law.
