Event Description:  As “humanewashing” and “greenwashing” attempt to convince consumers that products are animal- and environmentally-friendly, advocates have been successful at challenging such claims using consumer protection laws, such as false advertising laws. 

In this presentation, AEL Advocacy provides an overview of false advertising law and litigation in Canada and explains how activists can challenge these kinds of advertising campaigns to better protect animals.
